Aunt Bee, In the book Mayberry 101, p97, Everett Greenbaum talks about this: "There was no actual movie 'G Men' with Glenn Ford," admits Everett. "Barney was the type who could get all worked up after seeing a B-Grade police picture and 'G Men' sounded like the typical title given that type of film."
Here is the book on Google Books: http://books.google.com/books?id=C2QM9UOMCgYC&pg=PA97&lpg=PA97&dq=%22glenn+f ord%22+%22g+men%22&source=bl&ots=qxcFD3uLTm&sig=KJaFAIpoGXwMnRj8zn0RzqGCnRk& hl=en&sa=X&ei=NOR1T8XWNqTW2gXS5eGaDQ&ved=0CFUQ6AEwBg#v=onepage&q=%22glenn%20 ford%22%20%22g%20men%22&f=false Ben in Roanoke, VA *************** I was having a Mayberry memory while drifting off to sleep last night and after googling it, I cannot find an answer. In the episode wherein Barn was worried about security at the bank, Andy asks him if he recently saw the movie "G-Men" with Glenn Ford (I think). I cannot find this film listed on IMBD with Glenn nor under that title. Does anyone know what this refers to? Could it have been another Glenn Ford film in which he played a govt employee? I'm stumped. Aunt Bee of Orlando _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
