Thanks to everyone who enlightened me on Don Knotts dramatic contributions. I looked on IMBD earlier and didn't see anything concerning "Search for Tomorrow". Possibly missed it or it was listed another way.
I saw something strange today in the episode "Mayberry Goes Hollywood"..Remember when Cousin virgil polished the keys to the jail cells and Andy accused him of doing such a great job that they wouldn't turn the tumblers. I haven't checked that episode yet but I believe there were notches in the keys and Virgil filed them off...In the "Hollywood" episode Andy and Barney get locked in the cell and the Hollywood producer has to let them out. When he picks up the key off the floor I don't see any notches in it.
