I learned this morning of the passing of Frank Cady. Although he was better known as Sam Drucker on “Green Acres”, he was the first Mayberry town drunk before Otis. He appeared on the TAGS spin-off pilot of “The Danny Thomas Show” as Will Hoople and later as Luke in “The Rehabilitation of Otis” and as Farley Upchurch in “The Legend of Barney Fife”. I am thinking that he was the oldest living TAGS alumni. You were a fine gentleman, Frank and you will be missed.
