Saw the Digest posts about the passing of Frank Cady at age 96. Had the
pleasure of talking with him on the phone several years ago to thank him for
autographing a photo I sent him in Oregon. He said my photo was one of the
last he signed and that he was not able to handle any more requests.
Also, Mr. Cady was not the oldest surviving TAGS member. Connie Sawyer, who
played Miss Blanchard in charge of the newspaper morgue in the 1968 TAGS
episode, Helen's Past, is 99 and turns 100 Nov. 27. She lives at the Motion
Picture & Television Country House in Woodland Hills, Calif. She is is one
of the oldest members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
