My post was sent before i could finish. Demons in the iphone i guess and i
apologize.
Those air vents at the windows were very popular as with windows over doors.
The idea was the hot air would rise pushing the cool air dowm. Alot like
ceiling fans now.
As for Mayberry, we see all the little tricks for air cooling. People sat on
porches to enjoy the night air and enjoy the eveing. Something we have lost.
Those cell windows were always confusing. One the barber shop was there. And
two, the weather letting cold and rain into the jail. So the question remains
glass or air? Maybe that will be one of those great mysteries to ponder about
our favorite show and state of mind.
