I know other people have already posted about Andy's passing and I'm a little
late getting my thoughts on here. Like our Mayberry Guru, Ken Anderson, I grew
up without a father and basically without a family as well. Watching The Andy
Griffith Show gave me a sense of family, fellowship and love. As I've grown
older, I've seen morality and Godly values getting rarer by the day. For this
reason I appreciate The Andy Griffith Show even more now. I also just want to
say that even though I don't post here regularly, I read the posts and I am
grateful for all of the wonderful people on this site. It's so nice to be
connected to other Mayberry fans. When I heard the news of Andy passing away, I
shed some tears for a man I had never met. He made Mayberry a special place;
and though Andy, Barney, Aunt Bee, Floyd and others have gone on, Mayberry will
always live on in our hearts. Just wanted to air my ( as Barney would call it )
" philosophical meanderings ".
