Born in 1961 and grew up in Westchester County NY, watching TAGS and
Mayberry RFD, and throughout the years after the purge, reruns, but
always liked the earlier episodes more than the later one and more than
Mayberry RFD. I now am enjoying them all equally as well. I came across
TAGS again on netflix and watched the entire series in about two
months.Someone has posted half the series of RFD on youtube too.
Interesting to note is that no one has insisted he remove it. ???? The
same person posted all the TAGS episodes too. I guess that could be a
bible study in itself.One is apt to find TAGS at their local library
too, but I can't find RFD at all. Anyway,just wanted to say hey and that
I want to move back to Mayberry.

I have watched,and loved the TAGS since I was in my 20's.I had the good
fortune to go to my first Mayberry Days last year,and I had a blast.I
have already made reservations this year,and look forward to meeting
some of the nicest people in the world. I and my immediate family all
love the show,and I beat them all at the Trivia game . I have no
children,unfortunately, and I currently have a wonderful boyfriend, who
enjoys Tags,not as much as I do ,but ,give him time. I met Mr.
Newsome,and David Browning last year,and truly I haven't laughed so hard

I have been an Andy and Barney fan from the beginning. I remember
sitting alone in my bachelor apartment in the 60's, watching the show
and laughing out loud. Weren't those the days? I watched as long as the
show was on and was delighted when reruns began. Later, my wife enjoyed
them too. (Her favorite show was "Citizen's Arrest" She often quoted
lines from that show.) Later yet, my children enjoyed the shows during
their early years. They are both still fans. Life has gone on. I have
retired from my career in education. The children have their own lives.
My wife has passed away and I am alone. Now, I continue to watch Andy
and Barney. The insight, the understanding and the wisdom of the show
are even more important to me now. The lessons and the love show
through, at this stage of my life, as much as ever.

I am in sales/operations at Gobble-Fite Lumber Company in Decatur. I
decided to got to college in 2001 and am now just a thesis short of a MA

I am in my mid-forties and have been a fan of the show for as long as I
can remember. I was born and raised in Macon, GA (which ironically is
the destination city often listed on the buses that stop in Mayberry).
I attended Davidson College in N.C.. While there, a couple of buddies
of mine and I would gather almost every evening in the dorm lounge to
watch reruns of "The Andy Griffith Show." I have many, many great

I was a member of this chapter back in 1997. I have been a lifelong fan
of "The Andy Griffith Show". I have my parents to thank for that. They
watched the show when it first aired and then passed down their love for
it to me and to my siblings. My husband and I are now sharing the
greatest show on earth to our 8 children. Through the years, I've not
only enjoyed watching the show, but I've witnessed how it brings
families and friends, old and new together. It truly is, as Barney would
say, "therapetic". Thank you, Allan for this chapter and thank you,

I have watched and loved the Andy Griffith Show since it was originally
broadcast. Was a member of this group years and years ago. I believe it
was TVLand use to run an Andy Griffith marathon on Super Bowl Sunday and
I would LOVE IT! Would make my husband and sons watch the game on
bedroom TV's! Was fortunate to meet Don Knotts in Kansas City while he
was doing "On Golden Pond" at a dinner theater. He was wonderful. A few
months later he died. And now Andy. They brought me hours and hours of
happiness my entire life!

Hi my name is Buddy Bigham and im from a small town in SC called Great
Falls almost puts you in the mind of Mayberry really, but I have been
watching Andy Griffith my whole life and love the show. me and my family
recently went to Mount Airy on vacation, went to the part they call
Mayberry, Pilot Mountain or as they called it Mount Pilot. we toured the
Andy Griffith museum and even went by the house he grew up and trust me
we took lots of pictures, its a really good place to visit its more of a
relaxed feeling when you're there. And i'd like to say I think its great
there are things like this to remeber the shows like this that has
touched so many people. In closing I hope to join not only join this
chapter but either find one close to me or maybe start my own.
