This is the season for politics, and today I got to thinking. When Aunt Bea
ran against Howard Sprague for City Council, Andy said he was supporting
Howard. Eventually Aunt Bea dropped out of the race.But I got to wondering,
if Aunt Bea had stayed in the race until the end, do you really think Andy
could have voted for Howard and against Aunt Bea?I mean if you are sharing the
same roof with another person, I think it would not be a good policy to not
vote for that person if they ran for political office. In my many years of
sharing a home with Martha, I have discovered that in the absence of armed
robbery or murder, you had better support your wife right to the bitter end.
It makes living in the home so much easier. You saw how Andy was treated for

wonderful City Councilwoman. Why I would never even consider voting for
anyone else. I wouldn't be surprised if you got every vote.
