This is the season of politics and today I got to thinking.....David Quinn I don't think Andy would have had a problem voting for Howard as opposed to Aunt Bee..I believe the difference in the votes would have assured Howard the win. So Aunt Bee would have accepted the fact that not even a vote from Andy would have won her the election. But I also wonder if he would have voted for Elly when she ran for council. Remember there was just as much division then as in the Aunt Bee- Howard Sprague contest. Andy didn't think she should get involved and yet they were seeing each other..a pretty difficult situation to be in.. Having been raised on a farm of course I started doing chores at a young age but my first paid job was helping a neighbor put up hay. I was paid a dollar an hour and in two days I earned $9.00. Now today a kid might be allowed to blow that money but I gave it to my mom to buy school clothes for the coming fall. Most of the time the famers where I lived just traded off helping each other so no one ever got paid. One more thing. WHERE WAS THE TAYLOR HOUSE MAIL BOX ?...I don't ever recall seeing one.
