Everyone knows that Ronny Howard went on to become a famous director. Most folks reading this also know that Howard Morris (Ernest T. Bass) was also an accomplished director. He directed several TAGS episodes, a handful of successful movies, and many, many TV commercials.
Today while browsing wikipedia entries for actors who appeared on TAGS, I was surprised to learn that another cast member (who appeared in just one episode) was a director as well. I was even more surprised to learn that this person was an accomplished pilot who once flew a single-engine aircraft across the Atlantic; the intended destination was Moscow, but the Soviet Union would not allow the aircraft to enter their airspace. Trivia time: Let's see if anybody reading this can identify this actor.
