On the timeline of Andy working for the Mayberry Sheriff department, we know
for sure Andy was either a deputy or sheriff in 1952, because Barney remarks
that Andy shot Luke Comstock in the leg in 1952 while Luke was robbing the gas
station.There was another sighting in that same episode. This weekend in the
U.S. President race, both candidates were making a big deal about revenge.
One of the candidates said "Voting is the best revenge, and the other candidate
made fun of that. All day long today while I kept hearing it on every
newscast, I would hear Barney in my mind saying to Andy "That letter just
spells one thing, r-e-v-e-n-g". And Andy says to Barney "Re-Veng"? Orville
