Marion Paroo orders a strawberry phosphate in The Music Man. In those days (1912) the line between drinks that were supposed to have healthful medicinal qualities and drinks that were simply meant to taste good was somewhat blurry.
Speaking of The Music Man (the movie version of which, of course, starred Ronny Howard and many, many other Mayberry actors) there was a very funny scene in an episode of Happy Days where the family is talking about The Music Man, and Marion says, "I just love that little red-haired boy. He reminds me so much of Richie at that age."
