Yesterday, the governor of Georgia came to Macon to sign a bill related to background checks for daycare workers. I couldn't help but notice that the governor's helicopter was parked on the front lawn of the school where the ceremonial signing was held. I didn't see an official helicopter landing pad anywhere on that lawn. If the governor's helicopter was illegally parked, why didn't some eager deputy give him a ticket? Also, in the news video I don't see our mayor anywhere in the crowd.
