So Sheriff Poindexter was sheriff in Mayberry in 1946. It just so happens that I was born in 1946. So that makes me wonder. What would Andy have done if my mother would have left me on the courthouse steps. She always claimed they gave her the wrong baby to take home.
Like Goober, I was often called Big Ears when I was a young lad. My ears were big because we were poor. We didn't have many bath towels so my mother wanted to save them for when company come.
