Aunt Bea took forever guessing who sent her a letter. She was checking the handwriting and holding it up to the light as if by magic the sender's name would come to her. Andy kept saying ""ope'it! just ope'nit!" The sender turned out to be Roger aka Wallace Ford. He was an obnoxious practical joker. Without revealing my age, I'll tell you that I remember him from old black and white movies as a reporter or detective..He usually played a surly type. It was unusual to see him on TAGS.
