Yesterday's advertising message got me to thinking about Mayberry shopping opportunities with no more racks, especially Bert Miller. Absolutely no better customer service or return policy. Of course, when he got rid of the ringin doorbells, I guess he gained some racks. .Aside from Bert, and Barney's foray into vacuum cleaner sales, were there any other mentions of door to door sales?
Are there any door to door salespeople left? Personally, I don't open the door to anyone I don't know, so that sales model wouldn't work on me. I do enjoy ordering from those frozen food folks from time to time--my children used to love to see the yellow truck pulling into the driveway...
