Andy was invited to the exclusive Esquire Club by an old fishing buddy and was told to bring along a friend. Poor ol' Barn was so excited to be there he blathered about US Steel being "up about 2 and a half pts." Then he went on to say that the fellow with the lower golf score should "take some lessons" from the fellow with the higher score. The final uncool moment was when Andy admitted that he had "never heard of "baked Alaska." Barney said that it was invented because Alaska had "become a state." I think that we never saw muffs in Mayberry because it is a cold weather accessory. Gloves were plenty warm enough.
