How many times in the late 1970s did you hear someone say something like, "If gas ever gets to a dollar a gallon, I'll just quit driving." While 30 cents a ding sounds pretty good, I sure wouldn't want to see that same kind of reduction on my paycheck. Sometimes I think I should be paid what I'm worth, but I couldn't live on that.
