Well folks, Dan has finally revealed a well hidden family secret. He is indeed a cousin thrice removed. Our family doesn't talk about it much but it seems that somewhere along all the begattin in our family someone indeed did go and begat good old Tom. He is my cousin thrice removed because he came to our house to visit and we had to remove him from the premises three times, thus the thrice removed.
