I've seen Allan Melville/Melvin name spelled both ways..hmmm. Alumnus sighting on Golden Girls. Ken Berry appeared as "skipper" an old boyfriend of Roses' from St. Olafs in Minn. In one of the final scenes, he skipped off screen, then boing! Rose remembered who he was. The other school kids used to make fun of him for skipping. (He was quite a dancer too.)
