Ok folks, I know you have anxiously been awaiting the newest edition of
"Learn a Month Magazine". This month's issue dealt with teeth and
dentistry. So here are some interesting facts.

In China, in 1498, the first toothbrush with bristles was made, using hair
from hogs, horses, and badgers. ( I don't even want to know what they used
for toothpaste.)

A snail's mouth is no larger than the head of a pin, but can contain over
25,000 teeth! ( Boy, Otis could do a lot of damage to a snail's mouth with
a leg of lamb.)

In early America, blacksmiths often also served as dentists. (Probably a
lot of horsing around in the dentist's office)

In Medieval Germany, the only cure for a toothache was to kiss a donkey (
Gomer's daddy and mother only shook hands when they got toothaches)

The average woman smiles about 62 times per day! A man? Only 8 (I think
this is for married men)

Americans spend $100 billion per year on hair care products - and only $2
billion a year on dental care products. (Guess that explains my Mr. Schwamp
doesn't talk. He doesn't have any teeth)

The People's Republic of China has set aside September 20 as a national
holiday for 'Love your Teeth Day'. (The Morrison sisters will be thrilled
to hear this.)

Dentists would recommend that you keep your toothbrush at least six feet
away from your toilet to avoid many airborne particles that results from
flushing. ( The Darlings won't have any problems with this one.)
