I agree. He/she could have been as nosy as the operator listening in on calls,
peering into people's mail to know who's who and what's what. Rumors would have
piled up exponentially if they had included a mail carrier. This person would
complement the Sunday afternoon yakkity sisters on the phone, Aunt Bee's
gossipy coffee caches, or Barney misinterpreting simple human acts by normal
and abnormal people.
