In answer to Ken's question about pipes, when I was a teenager living at home,
my father worked in a lumber yard. One of his bosses was constantly smoking
a pipe. When I went to work in the same lumber yard, I always thought that
his pipe tobacco had a wonderful aroma. Best I remember he smoked "Sir Walter
Raleigh". I have never been tempted to say that cigars or cigarettes had a
wonderful aroma.
I have been thinking about it, and I can truthfully say that today I know of no
one who smokes a pipe anymore. (Not counting Santa Claus).
