My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Altoona Cinder City Days. We
were at their classic car show and also participated in their parade with
our two cars. We were very honored at the car show when the squad car won
the first place trophy in its class. Then we were really honored when of
all the cars at the show our squad car was selected as the "People's
Choice" trophy winner. Along with the trophy comes the honor of having the
squad car's picture being used for all the publicity for next year's
events. During the parade a newspaper reported walked along with me taking
pictures and asking me questions, so maybe there will be something in the
Sunday paper. Only three things dampened the day. One it rained a bit, two
I had to give myself a ticket for illegal parking, ( see photo at
www.mayberryreflections.com ) and three, we ran out of gas at the end of
the parade. I wasn't anywhere near McNally's shack, so I had to go all the
way home to get gas. That's what I get for taking a short cut to the
parade. Tomorrow we take part in a big parade in a city about 40 miles
from here,
