Ernest's middle name

What's interesting to note is that Bass is an English name though sometimes
can be Scottish. It all depends how far one goes back in the lineage I
suppose. Its safe to assume that Maybe Ernest had a great grandfather of
many regenerations before who was English. He worked in the Great Scotland
Yard which was the original Scotland Yard, and probably of Scottish or
English descent. I am guessing English since the name Ernest is also
English. The grandfather of many generations before Ernest perhaps worked
as a detective or policeman. Then while he was still young, he was sent to
Ireland by the Queen to serve there. He then fell in love with a lovely and
spunky Irish Lass, and the rest was history. So depending how far the Great
Scotland Yard goes back in history and the time that Ireland stated being
ruled by the British, Ernest could be as little as 1/8-1/16th English or
Scottish. Maybe even less.

Again his first name is also of English/German origin. Which proves to me
the family was still proud of their English heritage despite all of it.

As for his middle name..... Maybe an Irish name or English name. In this
case either would be understandable.
