Expounding further on Brian's theories, I agree and lament the fact that
it was my generation with its laid-back attitude and urging people to
"find themselves" that contributed highly to this malaise permeating our
society today. People began to set aside the needs of their offspring in
order to fulfill their selfish desires and so we have had a number of
generations who still subscribe to this lifestyle. It's as tho they
expect the children to fend for themselves and then they wonder why they
end up with juvenile delinquents on their hands. Somehow we must find a
way to nip this in the bud but I don't know the answer either other than
to go to church regularly and watch TAGS! I'm just thankful for the
wonderful nieces and nephews I have in my family who are raising their
children properly! They are a blessing in my life as the Lord never
honored me with any children of my own. PTL for my Mayberry family too!!!
