On the subject of Andy smoking I never could figure why he carried cigarettes loosein his shirt pocket and not in a pack...He never took more than two or three puffs off one and was careless with his smoking. Once he smoked in bed...and another time he crushed a cigarette out on his porch...I'd get upset if someone did that on my porch.On another note I now have 5 cable outlets that show TAGS and one that shows Mayberry RFD...I never realized it before but "RFD" just isn't very funny...I've watchedseveral episodes and seldom see a reason to even smile much less laugh...But then that's just proof you can't improve on Andy and Barney..another thing I noticed was inone episode Goober said he was a deputy...wonder why they had a deputy and no sheriff.Today I watched the one where ex-con Brooks came back to Mayberry to get even withBarney...When Andy climbed up a tree to get a better look for Brooks, Barney climbed upto...But both of them left loaded guns at the base of the tree..pretty careless sheriffing I'd say.
