Andy also costarred as 'California' in the "Hopalong Cassidy" movies from 1940
- 1948. Many of those are available on DVD; look for "Hopalong Cassidy:
Ultimate Collector Edition," with 35 of those 1-hour-long movies. (WalMart is
one store that carries it.)

Andy was a popular silent film comedy star in the 1920s, working in short
subjects at the Mack Sennett Studios, frequently teamed with Billy Bevan.
After sound came in, Andy had his own short subject series at Columbia Studios
1933 - 1956; of all Columbia's short subjects, the 79 Andy Clyde shorts were
second only to the Three Stooges in longevity and popularity.

Example of an Andy Clyde comedy short...
GOLD IS WHERE YOU LOSE IT (1944), starring Andy Clyde, Emmett Lynn, with Mel
Blanc

you want to be impressed, go to IMDB.com and check out Andy Clyde'sfilmography.
It runs from 1921 until 1966 and that does not include hisradio work.
