Let me tell you what I mean about not being able to make TAGS in 2014. At
the end of the "Loaded Goat" episode, the feds from Homeland Security show up
in Mayberry to arrest Andy and Barney as Terrorists for making a goat bomb.
The feds from The Food and Drug Administration would show up to arrest Ellie
for selling sugar pills, and while they were at it they would arrest Barney for
giving away toxic pickles.
The bum that Barney chases away before finding $250,000.00, would come back and
sue Barney for violating his civil rights.
The feds would bring Andy up on charges for those 76 violations of official
misconduct. Then they would fine him for using the squad car for personal
business.
DHS would take Opie away from Andy and Aunt Bee for letting him wander off all
alone to a mine shaft. Then DHS would put Cynthia in juvenile detention for
punching Opie in the eye.
If I sat here and thought long enough, I could probably come up with 100
different violations that would get Andy and Barney in trouble in today's
world. That's sad isn't it?
Orville Hendricks - Mount Pilot Butter and Egg Man. I would get arrested for
selling butter and eggs that had not been inspected by the FDA.
