Plans are in full swing for the 5th annual Mayberry Comes to Westminster Festival slated for May 1 -2, The first official function is the Miss Mayberry Pageant on April 18 at West-Oak Middle School. Prior to the opening ceremonies on May 1st is the 2nd annual Crime Stoppers Gold Tourney at the Oconee Country Club April 30. That evening the 4th annual "Finding the way back to Mayberry Bible Study" will be held at Westminster Baptist Church at 7 p.m.
The parade marshals this year are LeRoy & Janice McNees. LeRoy, a TAGS Alumnus, will be the featured artists at a concert in the Music Hall Friday evening. Joining him will be some of his musical friends. Highlight of the weekend will be the "Memories of Mayberry" show featuring the VW Boys, The Mayberry Deputy and LeRoy Mack. All your favorite tribute artists will be back with two Canteen Shows in the Music Hall Friday and Saturday. A cruise in of vintage cars, arts & crafts, food (of course!), two Mayberry parades, TAGS merchandise (including commemorative MCTW T-shirts) and more.
