Patty, Yes, Ma (Marjorie Main) could sure act the part of 'refined,' and Pa (Percy Kilbride) had the relaxed part down pat! :-) I think that Barney had some of that 'naturally relaxed' characteristic, as well, especially when Andy tried to wake him up.
