I had a follow up appointment today with my orthopedic doctor and I was hoping I would be getting off my crutches. No such luck. I found out that in addition to the two small fractures in my knee, I have a torn meniscus in the knee. So I am to be on crutches for at least another two weeks and then maybe surgery if things don't go well. It sure will put a damper on my walking in parades and patrolling at car shows. But at least I will still be able to go.
However, I am thinking of getting a second opinion. The meniscus isn't in the knee, it is in the brain. Don't know whose MRI he was looking at. I am also thinking of suing the county as I am sure I was walking in Eau Claire County when I injured my knee. Definitely a case of gross negligence on the part of the county. Probably a slippery sidewalk or I may have tripped on some weeds that should have been cut. Does anyone have Neil Bentley's phone number? One good thing though, I have been offered a job.
