Tags fans, Was just reading the comment here about seeing similarities between Andy Griffith Show episodes and episodes of Petticoat Junction. In Bob Denver's book "Gilligan, Maynard and Me" he talks about there being a rule back then that a writer could use a script on more than one show so long as the second usage of the script was 10% different from the first usage. Bob talked about one writer/producer who would literally go through previous scripts from Dobie Gillis and change every tenth word. Obviously, that's pretty extreme (and he didn't like that practice) but maybe something similar happened across different shows like TAGS and Petticoat. Sam
