I don't think so because  on this trip I'll go days without a single
ping then get a cluster. I teach web design/development classes twice a
month and plug into the network there. Most of the time I don't get a
single ping but on occasion I've had to turn the 'notify' feature of
Zone Alarm off because I was getting so many pings it was interfering
with class.

FWIW, I've gotten more pings on Earthlink than on Prodigy as the least
on wt.net (regional ISP).
