There is no font sizes like with the old font tags in CSS, but 10 point (or 12 pixel) is about the same. 9 point wouldn't look too good because odd number fonts like 9,11,13 tends to look messed up in netscape, and sometimes on all browsers if it's not a font that does well with those sizes. Stick to 10,12,14,16,18, etc for the lower end of the sizes and it should look fine.
