Joseph, I don't know how it would integrate with an ebook because
I have never tried to create one.

As for ease of opening, I have yet to run across a computer with
a sound board that couldn't open one.

You can see how I integrated them in a client's site by looking
at the jukebox at http://diner23.com/ where you select a song from
a dropdown list to play.  The songs are relatively small and load
quickly even on a slow dialup.  You should have no problem seeing
how it is implemented - just view the page source. :)
