Hello, everyone! Please help! I am developing an ASP back end to a site in my W2K/IIS5 system. I am testing locally with IE6, Mozilla 1.1 and Netscape 6.2. The problem: IE6 is not accepting session variables and cookies.
A few months ago, when developing another ASP site, the system stopped accepting session variables and cookies toward the end of production. This only happes while using IE6 and viewing sites hosted in my machine - the other browsers I mentioned above will accept the cookies. No problem with sites on the Internet with IE6... cookies work fine on-line. And, since when I uploaded the site I was developing, the session cookies worked pretty dandy, I left it at that. Now I need to use the same system to develop another ASP site that uses session variables and cookies and I have wasted several days trying to get IE6 to accept them. I have lost track of how many setting combinations I have tried and am at my wits end. As a last resort, I updated my virus definitions and scanned (McAffee) last night. No viruses found... What could be going on? Is it something so simple I will just kick myself? Thanks!
