Jan's right - it's putting white spots because you haven't set the Matte option to the background colour the transparent gif'll be on in the finished web page....you'll find "matte" in one of the options when you do the Save for Web option, OK? It defaults to white, hence the white spots. Click on the box, & the usual options for changing colours appear. You can select the colour as the hex you've got as the background for your web page & there you go, no more spots before the eyes...
