Andy, Thanks for the info. As I recall, there are 3 gray data cables. I think the HD is on one, the A floppy is on another one, and the ZIP goes with the (was the DVD ROM) CDWR. The CDWR had to be set as a master, so I couldn't connect it to the "A" floppy anyway and that cable is very short. I don't have a motherboard manual, I just have an Internet PC User's Guide which doesn't help much. I might be able to find some info at the Compaq site. They might even have a manual I can download.
