Dwayne, I have seen that a few times so I think I know what you are talking about. Although I have not examined the code, what I am assuming is that there is a flash file in a <DIV> or equivalent that is being moved by DHTML to the center of the screen. Then, when you click "close" on the flash file, it calls a script that removes the whole "kit and caboodle". It seems that the afore-mentioned process would be the best route. If you are like me and don't know DHTML intimately, you can Google around for scripts that slide things around and I am sure you can figure it out from there.

I notice on a lot of web sites (like www.variety.com) that they have these Flash adverts that either fade in or scroll in to the browser... play for a while... then fade out or scroll away. Found the company that creates these... it is what they call a proprietary software that they charge big bucks for... As a programmer... I'm figuring it is a chromeless browser window containing the flash that is brought in... but in a way that flies under the radar of the pop-up blocker. The question: Does anyone have specific tips for DHTML and/or JavaScript that does this? We are promoting a new motion picture and I'd like to use an interstitial with flash on our web site.
