Talk is that the freshbot will do all the work, the deep crawl will be discontinued. Deep crawl is where the spiders go deep into the sites, is my understanding. Checking things more thoroughly is how I think it works. Here, check this out for more info:

Fluctuating results indicate the dance is in progress. Once the dance settles down, the results will remain the same until the next time is how I'm understanding it.
