I must respectfully disagree with John.  While sending out a single email at a time 
through your SMTP server does add overhead, this is IMHO, the only *Professional* 
choice to make.  Anything else is a workaround.  Unless I caught the smack-down from 
my host, I would just let the server deal with it.
