To add to my earlier post:

If I receive an email that says "Undisclosed
Recipients" or someone else's email address
in the "To" field, and my address is nowhere
to be found, I know that I'm dealing with,
1. A spammer
2. A rank newbie
3. Someone who just doesn't care enough to
learn about what they're doing, and to do it
right.

In either case, their email is going to my
trash can, and they're not getting any business
(or eyeball time) from me.

And they might even get blacklisted in my
Eudora spam filter.

Using BCC is not only more than likedly to
get caught by a spam filter, as R'twick rightly
pointed out, but more importantly it is plain
Unprofessional!

If you want results from your email marketing
(consider every email you send as your marketing
messenger) - you don't want to come across as
unprofessional and amateurish!

If you have an online business, then the only
way to go is to send personalized email, to
each and every one of your recipients, with
their first name somewhere in the email -
preferably in the subject as well as the greeting.

Hi Steve

as John already pointed out, putting the addresses in Bcc instead of Cc wil hide them
form being seen by the receipients.

However, some spam filters may treat this as spam (as mine does) when the receiving
address is not in To or Cc field.
