Hi Dave,

I wanted to thank you for all the posts you submitted on the subject of
how to successfully run an internet business. They have been very
helpful for me and, I'm sure, for others as well.

Though many of the practices you mention in previous messages I do not
do (yet), I have learned to diversified my business with great success.
Once you do a webpage for a client, if the experience was good for them,
they trust you. Creating print material that supplements the webpage is
the perfect opportunity to increase your business. Though I do webpages
primarily, I have done billboards, business cards, logos, postcards,
t-shirts, booklets, pamphlets, banners, presentation boards, desktop
images and screensavers! Though it was a little daunting at first
getting into print, my experience has been great.

You mentioned ways to diversify and snag a client who you would normally
miss. One group that I find lucrative is politicians. Every X years
they do what amounts to a massive advertisement campaign that includes
webpages, billboards, cards they handout and more. If you get the
complete contract for a candidate running for office, you can turn a
pretty penny. In addition, politics is a networking game and if your
client appreciated your work (and he wins his office) you will find more
work coming your way from his buddies.

Just wanted to put in my 2 cents. Keep up the messages, Dave!

HTH,
Will
