The clue I gave was the quote inside the image. Do you think it helps or just adds to the general confusion?
But colour! (Note this, Franni, I am not colour blind ;-)) The dark green borders on unpleaseantness! - too much yellow? Also the white space at the top is disquieting. It might look fine if you went for the middle green used on the top bar and filled the top bar and the white space with it.
Your color comments definitely have me worried. They look fine on my screen, but may be a bit much on the monitors of others. I would appreciate additional comments about the colors from some people besides Joseph to see if there is prevailing repulsion.

Your colours are OK on my screen, I especially like the gold - squinting at a floating-head iMac with LCD screen, IE5.whatever - but bear in mind that with what I'm having to contemplate spending the next 6 weeks working with, I ain't the best person to be making colour judgements right now as anything other than my client's 'gold' would look good... ooops, forgot, I was only whining about client on the social list.... but colour aside, I do have a prob with the scrolling beyond the front page eg http://www.stewartandcompany.net/businesswebdesign.php - is it just me? No-one else has mentioned the width of pages so far...
