Hi Will, sorry for not getting to this sooner but it was my dad's birthday yesterday & besides that lovely distraction, I also had loads of work to get through :o)
dunno if I'm gonna be of any help though... when I first looked at your site I thought the clash was a bit much but over the weekend I've been going back to it & the contrast seems to work the more I look at it. I think the thing that's nagging me is that the image (man with kite) is very sophisticated looking and sharp & then for it to sit next to your logo which, in contrast, is very animate looking & the lime green top band of colour - the three don't sit well together - it looks a bit disjointed. But as I said the more I look at it the easier it becomes on the eye... which must mean the layout works :o) two small things... you've designed for 1024 instead of 800 X 600 - so half of your rhs navigation is off my screen which seems a pity. Also, why didn't you carry the use of the verdana font through to your links in your css? I think it would look just that little bit more polished if the text & links were using the same font throughout.
