In the book I am trying to 'learn and make' from this is an input line from a sign up form.
<td align="left" valign="top"><input id="last_name" name="last_name" type="text" value="<?=$_POST['last_name'];?>" /></td> As you can see the value is given some php code, but this appears in the input window, which seems odd. Is there a reason for putting php code there? The author says this is for error checking purposes. Is this needed for error checks? Or should the signee input simpy be picked up by the 'action="" ' php script? Or is there some other point I am missing, like a security value or a complex check system? I can't see the practice in any other sign up script I've looked at. Joseph wondering why it is all uphill. ____ The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Send Your Posts To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To set a personal password send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the words: "set WDVLTALK pw=yourpassword" in the body of the email.
