Hi guys, I'm looking for some recommendations regarding implementing a web-based chat feature for "live support" on a client's website. What experiences do you have with this type of thing, and can you recommend some software or scripts that can be easily adapted to achieve the following requirements?
- owner should be able to chat with multiple people but not in the same chat window - owner should be able to initiate a chat - when owner is offline, it should be able to display a message saying that support is currently unavailable - owner should be able to monitor when someone visits the site and what page they are looking at - when someone is typing a message, it should display that someone is typing at the bottom of the box - works on all operating systems/browsers - allows visitors to receive a copy of the chat session If anyone has any thoughts then it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
