[1] Can't BIOS be changed without changing the entire mother board?
[2] If the BIOS has been affected, shouldn't the entire computer act weird instead of just the LAN card.
[3] Since he has taken the computer to his workshop, he called and said changing the motherboard is the only option because the computer is neither booting from the floppy nor from the CD [ when he took away the computer, everything was working ok but the LAN card ], but when I assured him that I'd get the whole computer updated in fifteen days but right now I need it to finish my current work, he immediately said he'd install it tomorrow so that I can finish my work.
Hence,
[4] Should I change my maintenance guy?
