It is relatively simple to use, but offers a great deal. It is perfect for bulletins and brocures and posters and pdfs (and web pages where the user is not too interested in the coding!). He needs it to make bulletins, brochures and things like that. He tried Publisher but didn't like it. He works for a Church and money is not overly abundant.
